4×4 Still Together, Solo Projects Just To Build Brand – Captain Planet

Since Hiplife artiste Captain Planet, who happens to be the leader of multiple award-winning groups; 4×4 released his solo hit track ‘Obi Agyi Obi Girl’, he has constantly denied rumours circulating that the group has collapsed.

Captain Planet in a virtual interview with Emcee Bebe, host of Cape 93.3FM’s ‘Entertainment Xtra’ stated emphatically that splitting up is not an option for them – 4×4.

“We just released a group song called ‘Duabo’ just to prove to the doubting Thomases that 4×4 is still intact. We will be releasing songs, album, and videos very soon so people should watch out for it”.

According to Captain Planet, members of the group comprising Coded and Fresh Prince are consequently pursuing solo careers in a move to keep the name of the brand relevant, revealing that a number of singles will be heard from each member of the group subsequently.

“They have their own singles. Prince has like eight singles out. Very soon people will be hearing a lot from us. We are doing that all in the name of building up the group and staying relevant and keeping the brand name alive because it takes a long time for the group to release so whiles people are waiting for the group songs to come out they will be hearing solo songs,” he said.

Captain Planet said he understands the public concerns about the group’s long silence but assured that they are going through a revamp and hope to be better.

As a reminder, 4×4 was formed in 2000 by Captain Planet (Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey) and Coded (Raphael Edem Avornyo) with the help of Buk Bak. Fresh Prince (Prince Tamakloe) joined the group in 2007.
