Shatta Wale has revealed the meaning behind his latest song, ‘Gringo’.According to him, ‘Gringo’ is a Mexican term, which means ‘foreigner’ – He added that he sees himself as a foreigner who came into Ghana’s music industry Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has disclosed the reason behind his now famous music video, ‘Gringo.’ According to him, the core message behind the video is his life as an artist in Ghana’s entertainment industry. He added that the video, which has created a lot of buzz since its release, is an introduction to his upcoming album, ‘The Reign.’

Shatta Wale went on to say that “Gringo” is a Mexican term, which means ‘foreigner’. His choice, he went on, is because he sees himself as a foreigner, ever since he re-branded himself as Shatta Wale.
