‘Use your influence to help the industry’ – George Quaye pleads with industry players

Head of Communications at Charterhouse, George Quaye has humbly urged industry players and pundits to use their influence on media platforms to solicit help from corporate bodies to invest in the entertainment industry.

Reacting to the current controversies surrounding the resignation of the winner of the 2017 Miss Ghana beauty pageant Miss Margaret Derry, on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, George Quaye stressed that instead of only criticising, what the industry needs is support from corporate institutions in Ghana.

“…Instead of just critiquing the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, and speaking about some of the ills that happen in some of the beauty pageants in this country, let us rather take the opportunity to urge and encourage corporate Ghana to come to the aid of the entertainment industry…”

He added that if we don’t employ the aid of corporate bodies to support the ailing industry, we will end up losing a lot of content that makes the industry vibrant.

“…Very soon theatre shows, music shows, talent shows, beauty pageants will die if we don’t save the industry. Entertainment in this country generally is suffering…” he said.
