Not long ago, Reggie Zippy and Bollie put Ghana on the map in the music scene in a way that no other Ghanaian has ever done before. Known in Ghana as solo artistes, these artistes showed us the power of unity by participating in one of Simon Cowell’s most successful ventures “Britain Got Talent”.
They came out as runners up which won them a record deal with Simon’s Syco Music. Under the label they released their hit singles “New Girl” and “Link Up” which was successful. The video for “New Girl” was shot in Ghana to promote Ghana’s Tourism industry.
With such a powerful label such as Syco Music, many expected the duo to blow up far more than they have done. But for some reasons unknown to us, that has not been the case.
Information reaching us indicates that the duo have decided to go Independent from Syco. They have started their own record label called F.R.O.D Music. According to Reggie n Bollie, this will help them pursue one of their ambitions in the music scene. Which is to pursue the business part of music and be able to invest in themselves. They said this in a statement they released:
