Controversial 2HYPEGANG and Criss Waddle’s AMG BUSINESS member and Ghanaian hip-hop artiste Showboy has slammed the nomination of Kwesi Arthur for an international award in the aftermath of his loss.
The ”Bombo Yie” singer who has had a number of fallouts with musicians in the industry, most especially his recent beef with Medikal and girlfriend Deborah Vanessa, came out to say the only artist who deserved any kind of nomination or recognition was Sarkodie and not a “kid” like Kwesi Arthur who had “only one hit song trending worldwide”
He took to Twitter today June 25 after the awards had concluded and said ‘‘This is what happens when u deeply know Sarkodie is supposed to represent GHANA !! But for sake of stupidity n, only one song called GRIND DEY THAT TRENDED WORLDWIDE..u forget his HIGHEST HIP-HOP ALBUM N PICK UP A KID WHO JUST DROPPED AN EP !! Foolish GHANA INDUSTRY! no sense”
It is yet unclear what triggered such a harsh assessment since Showboy had bizarrely been one of the first to have congratulated Kwesi Arthur when he got his nomination.
